SILICATE + SODIUM + CALCIUM

An exhibition connecting Laguna~B’s historical archive and Sitterwerk’s library.

Focusing on previously unseen material documenting Marie Brandolini’s early research into glass — SILICATE + SODIUM + CALCIUM marks the first public display of Laguna~B’s archive. The exhibition’s shared goal was to present both archives as fungible resources for researchers, echoing Sitterwerk’s efforts to make information accessible and easy to re-arrange into new ideas.
For the exhibition, Laguna~B produced and donated 12 glass samples representing traditional Murano techniques, to be permanently introduced into Sitterwerk’s Material Archive.
